Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2026
Peekaboo Party is a game where players guess whose photo is whose. This policy explains what data the app uses and what it does with it. In short: no accounts, we don't store your photos and we don't sell your data.
Photos
- The app only accesses your gallery if you allow it, and only uses the album you choose.
- Each round, one photo is sent, resized, to the other players in your game. Before it's sent you can see it and, if you have skips left, change it.
- Photos only exist in the memory of the phones in the game while the round lasts. They are not stored on any phone or server.
- On Android, the app blocks screenshots and screen recordings during the game.
In-person and online modes
- In person: phones connect over Wi-Fi or a hotspot. Nothing leaves your network.
- Online: game messages and photos pass, encrypted, through a Cloudflare server that only relays them between the players in the room. They are not stored.
Ads and purchases
- Between games the app shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may use your device identifiers to show and measure them, depending on the consent you give (in the EU we ask when you open the app, and you can change it in Settings).
- You can remove ads with a one-time payment. The payment is handled by Google Play or the App Store: we never see your payment details.
- If the person who creates the room has removed ads, nobody in that room sees them.
- More information in Google's advertising policy.
Other data
- Your player name, language, theme (light/dark) and chosen album are stored only on your phone.
- The app doesn't use accounts or its own analytics tools.
- The camera is only used to scan a room's QR code.
Children
- The app is not directed at children under 13.
